Terms of Service

1. The service

YourRA provides AI-assisted transcription and translation of research audio (interviews, FGDs, KIIs and similar), with related outputs such as speaker labels, demographic tables, key findings, narrative reports, and Word/text downloads. Outputs are AI-generated aids for research: accuracy is not guaranteed, and you are responsible for reviewing transcripts before relying on them.

2. Your account and your data

• You must provide accurate account information and keep your password confidential.
• You confirm that you have the necessary consent and legal right to upload and process every recording you submit.
• Your recordings and transcripts remain yours. We claim no ownership of your research data, and we handle it as described in our Privacy & ethics policy.

3. Credits and payments

• Transcription is prepaid using minute credits. Credits are activated after payment verification and do not expire.
• Credits are consumed per minute of audio processed. If a job fails before completion, the affected minutes are not charged or are restored.
• Credits are non-transferable. Refunds are handled case by case; contact us via WhatsApp.

4. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

• upload material you have no right or consent to process;
• use the service for any unlawful purpose or to harm others;
• probe, scan, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service;
• scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content from the service by automated means;
• resell, sublicense, or white-label the service without a written agreement with us.

5. Our intellectual property

The YourRA website, software, design, text, graphics, workflows, prompts, and the "YourRA" name and logo are the exclusive property of YourRA and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, imitate, frame, mirror, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the website or service (including its design and page content) without our prior written permission. Unauthorized copying will be pursued, including through takedown notices to hosting providers and search engines and any other available legal remedy.

6. AI outputs and research responsibility

Transcripts, translations, findings, narrative reports, confidence estimates, and demographic inferences (including voice-based gender estimates, which are clearly labelled as estimates) are generated by AI and may contain errors. They support the researcher's own verification, coding, and analysis, but do not replace it. You are responsible for how outputs are used in your research and publications.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available and continuously improved, but it is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted operation. We may update features and these terms; significant changes will be reflected on this page with a new date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, YourRA's total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the credits involved in that claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

9. Termination

You can stop using the service and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with unused legitimate credits handled fairly.

10. Governing law and contact
